Michael Civin works as a senior psychologist

It was 2007 when Michael Civin founded his private psychological services firm. Civin still runs this firm, serving Bayville, Astoria, and Manhattan neighborhood residents. Michael Civin also helped to co-found, in 2008, a company called Rose Hill Psychological Services. This is a full service psychological services firm where he works as a senior psychologist. Michael Civin works in psychodiagnostics, supervision, group, adolescent, and adult psychology and therapy, so he is knowledgeable about a range of niche psychological fields. Additionally, Michael Civin authored a book about Internet psychology called Male Female Email: The struggle for relatedness in a paranoid society. Civin is a fixture in the New York City psychological field, having worked there for years.

Michael Civin received his A.B. from Harvard College in 1968. He thereafter attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for a year. He switched to the University of Oregon after that, graduating in 1970 with his first Masters of Arts degree. His second Masters of Arts degree was earned from Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. Michael Civin received his Ph.D. from Adelphi University too, obtaining it in 1988. He also received his Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.
